About us
We are doctors, we are scientists, we are tekkies. We are united by a vision – to counteract ageing and to recognize and prevent disease risks.
Getting old without getting ‘old’ is the motto to which we have dedicated ourselves. We want to share the sensational scientific knowledge available to us with you. Getting healthy and staying healthy – at a price that anyone who values their health can afford. As doctors and researchers who work on a strictly scientific basis, we really only recommend what is necessary. This ethical approach perhaps sets us apart from others at neotes. In any case, ageing is not an unalterable fate – not anymore.
Overall, longevity research has a major impact on social issues. If the ‘healthspan’, the healthy phase in life, can be extended and the many illnesses at the end of life can be shortened, then we can save costs for our healthcare system, maintain greater productivity for society or enjoy more fun and pleasure in life from a private perspective, experience great-grandchildren, make a longer and more sustainable contribution to family and society.
It is only when we ourselves or close relatives are affected by life-threatening illnesses such as cancer that we often have to learn how much suffering this disease brings with it. Every year, half a million people are diagnosed with cancer and a quarter of a million die from this insidious disease. If we take care of our health today and in good time, we will be spared a lot. Longevity means growing older healthily, optimizing ourselves and rejuvenating our age.
The brains behind the innovation
PD Dr. med. Axel Polack is a physician and habilitated virologist with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. With more than 30 years of experience both as an active basic researcher into the molecular causes of carcinogenesis and as an investor in the development of drugs and medical devices, he is the scientific driving force behind the founding team. He came across the topic of longevity through his personal acquaintance with Prof. Dr. David Sinclair from Harvard University. Reading his book convinced Dr. Polack that it is already possible to do something about the ageing process.
“I have been studying the development of cancer and the ability of the immune system to recognize cancer cells since 1980. I am convinced that research into the molecular processes of ageing will lead to new approaches to disease prevention and the postponement or avoidance of typical chronic diseases, just as there have been recent therapeutic breakthroughs in cancer.”
Founder
Dr. Irmi Huber is not only a passionate physician, but also an innovative entrepreneur who has been ensuring that innovative treatment methods are made available to us for more than a quarter of a century. Her extensive international experience and her very personal perspective have inspired her to focus intensively on longevity research.
“Recent scientific discoveries in determining biological age have opened up fascinating possibilities for us. Now we can not only determine our actual age, but also measure the most effective rejuvenation strategies. I am excited to share my valuable experience in the field of longevity with you.”
Despite being 35 years old, Roman Kacer has been a digital and start-up entrepreneur for almost 20 years, mostly in the healthcare sector. Inspired by his mother, who is a doctor. Convinced by Ismail’s book ‘Exponential Organizations’, Roman is digitizing the longevity idea of neotes to make the latest findings available and affordable for everyone. This is also a sustainable contribution to society: only if everyone becomes healthier will our healthcare system of today remain affordable tomorrow due to demographic developments.
“As a doctor, my mother got me interested in health issues early on, but I was even more fascinated by the digital world, which became my vocation. After reading the book ‘Exponential Organizations’ by Salim Ismail, I had the idea of bringing these two topics together so that scientific findings from longevity research could be used as innovative products to help everyone live longer and healthier lives.”
Solveig Haupt has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences, digital and global health and international development sectors. After completing her studies in the USA, she developed a passion for developing innovative solutions. She has demonstrated this as a product developer and strategist at several international pharmaceutical companies in the USA, Western Europe, Asia and Africa. She is also a lecturer on basic principles and digital solutions for global health at the Hasso Plattner Institute. With her passion for advances in longevity research, she creates products at neotes that help us live healthier for longer.
“I am motivated to harness the latest findings from longevity research and advances in digital technology in the form of innovative and customer-friendly products so that my generation and future generations not only have a longer, but above all a healthier life.”
Our scientific claim
Longevity research is currently achieving amazing results worldwide and with neotes you benefit from this in real time because we are involved in this research. We work as a globally networked team of doctors and researchers. Whether Prof. David Sinclair and Prof. Steve Horvath in the USA, Dr. Alex Zhavaronkov in Hong Kong, or Prof. Bischoff-Ferrari in Switzerland.
We work intensively with the latest scientific findings in the field of epigenetics, biotechnology and the development of innovative longevity-relevant dietary supplements whose effects can be medically proven. Our customers should receive scientifically proven answers as to how a long and healthy life can be achieved.
