Bioactive vitamin B3 derivative and direct precursor of NAD⁺.

    • Biochemical background of NMN

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a derivative of vitamin B3 and is biochemically closely related to nicotinamide, a form of this vitamin. In cellular metabolism, NMN acts as a structural precursor of the coenzyme NAD+, which can be formed from various forms of vitamin B3.
    • Using NMN specifically

NMN is a molecule currently being investigated in various scientific disciplines, including biochemistry, cell biology and ageing research. For precise use in research and laboratory environments, the high-quality, quality-tested NMN should be weighed using suitable laboratory or precision scales so that the additionally required amount can be determined accurately.
    • Quality-tested NMN capsules with certificate of analysis

The NMN capsules are tested by an independent accredited German testing laboratory for identity, the content of the nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) powder they contain, microbiological quality and heavy metals. With a purity of more than 99%, the NMN provides an excellent basis.
    • NMN in NAD metabolism

The remaining components are generally nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide (NAM). Nicotinamide riboside can be converted into nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) within NAD metabolism and therefore acts as a precursor of NMN.

    FAQ

    We have the answers

Each capsule contains 500 mg of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) with a purity of at least 99%.

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a derivative of vitamin B3 and is biochemically related to nicotinamide, one form of this vitamin. In cellular metabolism, NMN serves as a precursor of the coenzyme NAD+, which can also be produced from several vitamin B3 forms.

The nicotinamide mononucleotide used is supplied as a high-purity crystalline powder and filled into HPMC capsules. NMN is a derivative of nicotinamide and a structural precursor of the coenzyme NAD+.

The capsules are tested batch by batch by independent laboratories for heavy metals and relevant contaminants. Only raw materials that remain well below the specified limits are used. The current certificate of analysis with detailed laboratory values is available under “Laboratory Analysis”.

    One jar contains 60 capsules (36 g); three jars contain a total of 180 capsules (108 g).

For precise use in research and laboratory environments, NMN should be weighed to the required mass using a suitable laboratory or precision scale.

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is supplied exclusively for research, scientific and laboratory purposes. In the European Union, including Germany, NMN is currently classified as a novel food and is not authorized as a food or food supplement. The statement “for research and laboratory purposes only, not suitable for human consumption” reflects this legal status.

The best-before date is stated on the glass jar; when stored correctly, the specified quality is guaranteed until this date. If you would like to order larger quantities, we recommend contacting customer service in advance to ask about the best-before date of the current batch.

Store the product in a cool, dry place, tightly closed and protected from light and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Cool storage is often recommended for high-purity NMN powder and capsules. Depending on the intended storage period, this may mean a cool room or—particularly for long-term storage—a refrigerator. The capsules must remain tightly closed and dry to prevent moisture from entering. For very long-term storage, even colder storage, such as a freezer, may be useful in a research context.

After rinsing and drying, the glass packaging may be reused for suitable purposes. Alternatively, separate the individual components and dispose of them according to local recycling rules.

For high-purity nicotinamide mononucleotide, the identity and purity of the substance are tested in particular to confirm the stated purity of at least 99%. Additional batch-specific quality parameters, such as water content, degradation products and contaminants including heavy metals, may also be analysed. The exact parameters tested are listed in the certificate of analysis.

The analyses for the NMN capsules are performed by Limbach Analytics GmbH, Arotop Laboratories Mainz, an independent German testing laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and specializing in food, fat and oil analysis. The laboratory uses standardized, validated methods and has extensive experience analyzing food supplements.
