One case, one process

What a case looks like in your practice – using the bioAge test as an example

  1. Step 1Clinical questionYou select the module and provide information. The patient orders the test themselves.
  2. Step 2Home sampleCapillary dry blood, self-collection, return via kit.
  3. Step 3 · after 3 to 4 weeksReportIn the secure online area, brought to the appointment or shared.
  4. Step 4Medical assessmentComparison with baseline status and preventive screening, discussion of diagnostic limitations.
  5. Step 5 · after 6 to 12 monthsFollow-upControl measurement based on clinical indication, using identical pre-analytics. You decide on a case-by-case basis if it is appropriate.
Roles and responsibility in the case
  • No inventory costs, no stockThe patient orders the test themselves. If your practice manages the procurement, the purchase, billing, and responsibilities will be settled in writing in advance – with no benefits for recommendations, referrals, or prescriptions.
  • Medical services remain medicalPatient education, discussion of results, and medically indicated follow-up checks are independent medical services. You review and are responsible for whether and how you bill for them according to the rules applicable to you.
  • A report that guides the conversationIf a clinical question arises from anamnesis, examination, and test results, you decide independently on further diagnostics, consultation, and follow-up. The test does not replace this medical work – it provides the occasion for it.
  • What neotes does not doneotes does not compensate for recommendations, referrals, or prescriptions. Medical decisions and your practice's billing are independent of neotes.

The analyses do not provide a diagnosis, do not rule out any disease, and do not predict individual risks. Consider further diagnostics only on the basis of an independent medical indication. The reference collective, precision, and diagnostic limitations can be found in the methodology sheet.

Before deciding

Questions you should ask first

What am I allowed to say with these values – and what not?

The analyses provide additional biological information, a reference comparison, and a progression perspective. They do not diagnose any disease, rule any out, predict individual risk, or solely justify treatment decisions. We disclose the diagnostic limitations for each module in the methodology sheet.

Who is responsible for the laboratory results?

The respective partner lab is responsible for the analysis, and your practice for the medical interpretation. Reports include individual values with reference ranges and methodology to ensure the interpretation remains traceable.

What costs are incurred by the practice?

No inventory, no lab investment. If ordered directly by the patient, the practice incurs no inventory costs. If your practice manages procurement, we will explain the procurement and billing process in writing in advance; commissions or benefits for recommendations, referrals, or prescriptions are excluded.

Where is data processed and how do I receive the report?

The analysis for entry-level modules takes place in Germany; for the bioAge test, the responsibility for evaluation lies with a provider in the European Economic Area. The report is kept in the patient's secure online area and is brought to the appointment or shared. There is no interface to a practice management system. Responsible parties, recipients, and processing locations will be provided in text form per module before starting. No patient data is collected via the form on this page.
