Glycine and NAC as building blocks of the body’s own glutathione metabolic pathways

  • Combination of glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine

Glycine is a proteinogenic amino acid used by the body, among other things, as a building block for proteins. N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is a stable, acetylated form of the sulphur-containing amino acid L-cysteine.
  • Targeted supplementation with GlyNAC

The dietary intake of GlyNAC can vary considerably depending on food choices and eating habits. Amino acids such as glycine and cysteine can be obtained from protein-rich foods. GlyNAC capsules can supplement this intake and offer a simple way to integrate defined amounts of glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine into daily life.
  • Practical daily use

Take 2 GlyNAC capsules daily, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.
  • Quality-tested amino acids with certificate of analysis

The GlyNAC capsules are tested by an independent German testing laboratory for identity, the content of the amino acids glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine, as well as microbiological quality and heavy metals.
  • GlyNAC capsules without unnecessary additives

The formula contains glycine, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, organic rice flour (Oryza sativa) as a filler and a plant-based capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). No gluten or lactose is added. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The reusable glass jar is intended for storing the GlyNAC capsules.

INGREDIENT & PRODUCT CONCEPT

Two building blocks. One streamlined formula.

GlyNAC combines glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine in a clearly dosed capsule formulation. Both are amino-acid building blocks involved in pathways that also produce the body’s own glutathione. neotes deliberately focuses on a streamlined formula with two defined main ingredients, a vegan capsule shell and a practical daily serving.

FAQ

We have the answers

The capsules contain glycine (Gly) and N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) as active amino-acid components. Organic rice flour (Oryza sativa) is used as a filler, and the capsule shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).

The recommended daily serving of 2 capsules provides a total of 1,100 mg of glycine and 200 mg of N-acetyl-L-cysteine.

No nutrient reference value (NRV) has currently been established under the EU Food Information Regulation (FIC) for glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine.

Glycine is present as a free crystalline amino acid. N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a stable acetylated form of the amino acid L-cysteine. It is combined with glycine in powder form and filled into capsules.

The formula is based on glycine, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, organic rice flour as a filler and a plant-based HPMC capsule shell. No gluten or lactose is added.

The capsules are tested batch by batch by independent laboratories for heavy metals and relevant contaminants. Only raw materials that remain well below the defined limits are used. The current certificate of analysis with detailed laboratory values is available under “Laboratory Analysis”.

The glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine used in supplements are produced synthetically or by fermentation. The organic rice flour and HPMC capsule shell are plant-based, making the capsules suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

One jar contains 60 capsules (56.7 g). At a daily intake of 2 capsules, one jar lasts for approximately 30 days. Three jars containing a total of 180 capsules (170.1 g) provide approximately 90 days at the same dosage.

We recommend taking 2 GlyNAC capsules daily in the morning, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid. The appropriate amount of liquid may vary from person to person; we recommend one glass of water (approximately 250 ml). Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily amount.

The product is intended to be taken in the morning, but it may also be taken at another time of day if required. The most important factor is choosing a consistent time that fits well into your daily routine and supports regular use.

Many people find it gentler on the stomach to take GlyNAC with or shortly after a meal, particularly because of the sulphur-containing NAC. For people with a sensitive stomach, combining it with a small, well-tolerated meal may be helpful.

If required, the recommended daily dose of 2 capsules can be divided between two times, for example 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule at midday.

If you forget a serving, you may take it later the same day. Do not take a double serving or exceed the recommended daily amount to compensate.

GlyNAC is frequently used over longer periods in a longevity context. Whether and for how long its use is appropriate depends on individual factors such as health status, other supplements and any medication. Longer-term use should therefore be discussed with qualified medical professionals.

This can be assessed through individual guidance from medical or nutritional professionals, pharmacies or qualified nutritionists. Your supplement routine, diet, medical history and laboratory values are reviewed together to plan appropriate doses and combinations.

The best-before date is stated on the jar; when stored correctly, the specified quality is guaranteed until this date. If you would like to order larger quantities, we recommend contacting customer service in advance to ask about the best-before date of the current batch.

Refrigeration is generally not required, provided that the capsules are stored in a dry place, tightly closed and protected from heat. At very high ambient temperatures, cool storage, for example in a cool room or, if necessary, in the refrigerator, may be useful as long as the capsules are protected from moisture.

Store the product in a cool, dry place, tightly closed and protected from light and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Yes. Keep the product tightly closed, dry and protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight while traveling.

After rinsing and drying, the jar can be reused to store capsules, tablets, spices, snacks or small items. Alternatively, dispose of it through the local recycling system in accordance with local regulations.

For the GlyNAC capsules, the identity and content of the amino acids glycine and N-acetyl-L-cysteine are verified, along with compliance with the declared dosage per capsule. Batch-specific testing may also include microbiological parameters such as total microbial count, yeasts and moulds, as well as heavy metals and other relevant contaminants. The exact parameters tested are listed in the certificate of analysis.

The analyses for the GlyNAC capsules are performed by Limbach Analytics GmbH, Arotop Laboratories Mainz, an independent German testing laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and specializing in food, fat and oil analysis. The laboratory uses standardized, validated methods and has extensive experience analyzing food supplements.

Click here to view the current Certificate of Analysis. The report contains the results of independent testing by an external accredited German laboratory and provides full transparency regarding the parameters measured.

There are no established routine tests specifically for GlyNAC. In a longevity context, functional and metabolic markers are generally more relevant, such as glutathione status in specialised laboratories, oxidative-stress markers, liver values and selected amino-acid or methylation-related parameters. Which values are useful in an individual case should be determined and interpreted in consultation with qualified medical professionals.
