Broccoli belongs to the cruciferous vegetables and contains naturally occurring phytochemicals such as sulforaphane.

  • Sulforaphane and broccoli extract

Broccoli originates from the Mediterranean region and was already used as a cabbage vegetable by the Greeks and Romans in antiquity. Today, broccoli is used not only as a vegetable but also as a standardised broccoli extract in food supplements, providing natural plant compounds such as sulforaphane.
  • Targeted sulforaphane supplementation

Dietary intake of sulforaphane can vary considerably depending on food choices and eating habits. People who regularly consume broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables already obtain naturally occurring plant compounds through their diet. Sulforaphane capsules can supplement this intake in a precisely defined dosage.
  • Practical daily use

Take 2 capsules daily, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.
  • Quality-tested broccoli extract with certificate of analysis

The sulforaphane capsules are tested by an independent German laboratory for identity, the content of the standardised broccoli extract, as well as microbiological quality and heavy metals.
  • Sulforaphane capsules without unnecessary additives

The formula contains broccoli extract, of which 10% is sulforaphane, rice flour (Oryza sativa) and a plant-based capsule shell. No gluten or lactose is added. The composition is 100% plant-based and therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The reusable glass jar is intended for storing the sulforaphane capsules.

FAQ

We have the answers

The capsules contain broccoli extract standardised at 35:1 with 10% sulforaphane. Rice flour (Oryza sativa) is used as a filler, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as the plant-based capsule shell.

The recommended daily serving of 2 capsules provides a total of 600 mg of broccoli extract and 60 mg of sulforaphane.

No nutrient reference value (NRV) has currently been established under EU food law for sulforaphane, broccoli extract or other phytochemicals. The composition is listed on the product label and product page.

The formulation contains broccoli extract, rice flour and a capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No gluten or lactose is added.

Each batch is independently tested for heavy metals and relevant contaminants. Only raw materials that remain well below the specified limits are used.

The current certificate of analysis, including detailed laboratory results, is available under “Laboratory Analysis”.

As the broccoli extract, rice flour and HPMC capsule shell are all free from animal-derived ingredients, the sulforaphane capsules are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

One jar contains 60 capsules (29.4 g) and lasts for approximately 30 days at a daily intake of 2 capsules. Three jars containing 180 capsules (88.2 g) provide approximately 90 days' supply at the same dosage.

We recommend taking 2 sulforaphane capsules each morning, swallowed whole with sufficient liquid. The appropriate amount of liquid may vary from person to person; we recommend one glass of water (approximately 250 ml).

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily amount.

The product can generally be taken with or without food. People with a sensitive stomach may prefer taking it with a meal. Follow any product-specific instructions on the label.

Yes. If required, the daily serving of 2 capsules can be divided, for example into 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule later in the day.

If a serving is missed, it can be taken later the same day as long as the recommended total daily amount is not exceeded. Do not take a double dose at once to compensate.

When using the product for the first time, it may be useful to start with 1 capsule per day and gradually increase to the full daily serving of 2 capsules.

This can be assessed through individual guidance from medical or nutritional professionals, pharmacies or qualified nutritionists. Your supplement routine, medical history, medication and laboratory values are reviewed together to coordinate suitable doses and combinations.

For the sulforaphane capsules, the identity and content of the broccoli extract and its standardised sulforaphane fraction may be tested batch by batch. Additional tests may include microbiological parameters such as total microbial count, yeasts and moulds, as well as possible contaminants such as heavy metals. The exact parameters tested are listed in the certificate of analysis.

The analyses for the sulforaphane capsules are performed by Limbach Analytics GmbH, Arotop Laboratories Mainz, an independent German testing laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and specializing in food, fat and oil analysis. The laboratory uses standardized, validated methods and has extensive experience analyzing food supplements.

Click here to view the current Certificate of Analysis. The report contains the results of independent testing by an external accredited laboratory and provides full transparency regarding the parameters measured.

Depending on the individual situation, laboratory parameters associated with a diet rich in vegetables and cruciferous vegetables may be considered. Whether and which markers are useful should always be decided and interpreted together with qualified medical professionals. Specialised analyses for sulforaphane itself exist primarily in research and specialist laboratories; standardised routine testing is not currently established.
